I have some beautiful polishes to share with you today!  My love for holos continues to grow and grow with every one of them I acquire (holo = holographic = rainbow sparkly goodness!)  I created a mix & match mani out of several different polishes.

I Love Nail Polish Birefringence Review

GUYS.


Today I bring you the king of all multichromes* - Birefringence by I Love Nail Polish.  This polish is truly stunning.  I don't know what took me so long to order from this brand, but I am so glad I finally bit the bullet!  This will be the first post of many reviews on some seriously stunning polishes by I Love Nail Polish.

* (a multichrome is a polish with a shimmer finish that shifts through many different colors depending on the light)

Birthday Nails: Picture Polish Unicorn

Hey Guys!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Friday was my 27th birthday and I was in no mood to create anything extensive on my nails.  I'm still a bit burnt out from all the Christmas nail art.  But I knew I wanted to wear something amazing on my nails for my birthday and I chose Picture Polish Unicorn.

How gorgeous is this shade?!  It is the perfect shade of teal with the most delicate mix of glitters and micro glitters.  I love the tiny fuchsia glitters and the pink shimmer.  This polish was super easy to apply and had an awesome formula!  This polish was part of an amazing nail polish gift from my Mother-in-Law.  I can't wait to show you guys what else I got!

Picture Polish is quickly becoming a new favorite indie of mine.  And for great reasons!

Loaded Lacquer 'Clark, Glitter's Full' Review

Hey Guys!

Ya'll know how much I adore Loaded Lacquer (favorite indie status).  Well, when I saw her upcoming holiday collection prior to its release, I knew I HAD to have this polish.  There were a few others that I was interested in, but I had to be "good" with the holidays coming up.

This collection was released at midnight CST Thanksgiving night/black Friday morning, which is 1:00am on the east coast.  I was somehow able to stay up late enough to snag this beauty, Clark, Glitter's Full.

Review: Polished for Days Lochness Monster

Any of you crazies out shopping in the madness?  NOT ME!  I'm home, relaxing and cleaning up a bit from yesterday and getting ready to put out the Christmas decor! YAY!

Today I have a review of a polish I received last month as part of a giveaway prize.  Polished for Days is ran and created by Jenna and is an indie polish brand that is newer to the indie scene.  This brand caught my eye this summer with their super bright, fun neon polishes!  I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner of their 2.5k follower Halloween giveaway on Instagram.  I chose two polishes as my prize: Lochness Monster and Scaredy Cat.  This review is for Lochness Monster.

Shark Week Inspired Nail Art

So, it's Shark Week.  EVERYONE is posting Shark Week nails right now.  Little cutesy cartoon sharks on their nails.  Not my thing.

BUT, I wanted to participate and try out some untried polishes from my stash - so I came up with my own version of Shark Week nail art!  Follow the jump for more pictures and polish deets!

Loaded Lacquer Rubbernecker

I'm sure by now, you all have heard of Loaded Lacquer.  When I first heard of this Indie Polish line, Heather had just recently opened her shop and her following was fairly small, comparatively.   Her fan base has grown exponentially this year and now everyone is patiently waiting for her restock announcements!

While my collection is lacking in many indie collections, Loaded Lacquer is definitely my absolute favorite!  Heather creates some of the most unique polishes which are seriously "loaded" with glitter.  She also has her own line of jelly polishes, The Jiggles, which are perfect for layering with her awesome glitters.   If you need anymore convincing, go check out her website and look at all the gorgeous swatches!

This is one of those polishes that is good enough to be worn alone.  I also did a reverse glitter gradient accent nail for fun.

Grey Skies & Daisies

Happy First Day of Spring!  I hope the weather starts to act more like Spring.  I'm lucky that I live in the south so we don't get any snow, but it has been way too cold here this winter.  I'm so ready for HOT HOT HOT!

These nails remind me of a grey, rainy sky (which we have had a lot of lately!).  The daisies are for a nail art challenge on Instagram.  I thought the two concepts went pretty well together.

Polishes Used: Loaded Lacquer Toasted Marshmallow, Loaded Lacquer Mintallica, acrylic paint for the flower, and OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana for the center of the flower.

Loaded Lacquer Jelly Sammich

I finally did it! Its not my first jelly sammich ever (I'm talking about nails, but its kinda making me hungry....) but it is my first jelly sammich using Loaded Lacquer polishes!

I used Loaded Lacquer Island Punch and 40 Below to achieve this look.  If you don't know anything about Loaded Lacquer Jiggles, see my previous blog post!  I used a base coat, 2 coats of Island Punch, 1 coat of 40 Below, another layer of Island Punch, and top coat.

I just love the way this looks! I can't wait to try other combinations! I may even need to add a few more jiggles to my collection :)  

I later mattified this mani and added chevron accents. 

Lavish Polish 1990

I recently discovered Lavish Polish and fell in love with a few of their polishes. This is one of them. I knew by the swatches I saw that I had to have it. Its seriously gorgeous. A teal jelly with teal holographic glitter, including those awesome large circles.

This is 3 coats plus top coat.

Nailbark Swatches & Review

Hi all! I'm back!  I took an extended hiatus but I'm excited to get back into blogging again.  And what better way to get back into blogging than with some swatches!  I know I talk a lot about Instagram but it is seriously the best way to meet people in the nail community.  I happened upon an indie polish maker, Stef, from Australia.  She owns and creates Nailbark Polish, which can be purchased on her Etsy polish boutique.  She is currently only shipping throughout Australia but hopefully with enough interest and support, we can get her shipping worldwide!

Okay enough with the jibberjabber and onto the swatches!

Thunder

Thunder is a glitter topper that is described as "black, grey, and silver holos."  I thought it would be perfect layered over a light grey cream to mimic a stormy sky.  As most indie glitters, the formula was a little thick so I dabbed it around the nail to get even distribution.  This is 2 coats of Thunder over Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Wet Cement.

Kitchen Sink

Kitchen Sink is described as "random glitters with black shards."  I layered this glitter over Wet N Wild Sterling Silver, which sort of looks like a stainless steel "sink" color.  It was my little play on words, with nail polish!  This is 2 coats of Kitchen Sink dabbed over Sterling Silver.

The bottle looks murky, but the glitters are in a clear base! It was hard to capture a picture of this one.

Tooth Fairy

Tooth fairy is described as "pink shimmer with pink and purple glitters."  I probably could have done 2 or 3 coats of this to reach full opacity, but I decided to layer this polish over a similar base.  This is 2 coats of Tooth Fairy over Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Lacey Lilac.

Spangled

Spangled is a holo top coat with small holographic hexes.  This polish would look very pretty over almost any color, turning it holographic! I chose to layer 2 coats over one of my favorite colors: Essie Where's My Chauffeur.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve is described as a "rainbow of holo glitters."  This was my favorite of the 5 polishes I received for review.  This glitter topper is very pretty and looks amazing over black.  I decided a black base would help show off all the different colors in this glitter.  This is 2 coats over China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Overall, I'm liking these glitters!  Some of them were a little hard to get all the different glitters out of the bottle, but that may be due to the fact that the brushes are really small and short in the sample bottles.  Out of the five, I like New Year's Eve and Thunder the best and could see myself wearing them!  I hope this blog post reaches the Australian ladies and inspires them to check out Stef's Nailbark Etsy shop!
